The Nebraska State Historical Society (NSHS), contracted with Alley Poyner Macchietto Architecture to conduct a survey of Saline County. Alley Poyner Macchietto Architecture completed the survey and prepared this report 2015.

Alley Poyner Macchietto Architecture conducted the project in accordance with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Archaeology and Historic Preservation and Standards for Identification and Evaluation and Nebraska survey standards. Surveyed properties were evaluated for their potential to be eligible for the National Register.

This report documents the results of historical research and field investigations. An overview of the historic development of Saline County is provided. This historic context helped to inform the decisions regarding eligibility. A discussion of the survey methodology, architectural styles and associated historic contexts of properties documented within the survey area is provided in the report. The recommendations for the National Register are contingent on additional research.
